We’re thrilled to share that Alon Koppel, one of our new talented photographers, is showcasing his work in the exhibition At Water’s Edge: Reflections on 200 Years of the Erie Canal at the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, NY.
This exhibition is the result of Alon’s year-long Artist-in-Residence journey, where he explored the Erie Canal through rephotography, capturing its past and present in a compelling visual narrative. The exhibition is open now through April 27, 2025. On Saturday, February 15 at 1 PM, all three exhibiting artists, including Alon, will be at the museum for a gallery talk—the first time they will meet in person. For those unable to attend, the Erie Canal Museum is hosting a virtual talk on Wednesday, February 12 at 6 PM (EST) to wrap up the 2024 residency season and introduce the next artists-in-residence.
If you’re near Syracuse, don’t miss this chance to see Alon’s work in person and hear from the artists. And for those who can’t make it, tune into the virtual talk for an inside look at this unique project.
