Jeff Goldberg at the 2nd Avenue Subway

Jeff has photographed the new Second Avenue Subway in New York with lively images of the spaces, the artwork and of the public interacting with the murals by Vik Muniz, Sarah Sze, Chuck Close, and Jean Shin.

The Metropolitan Transit Authority, MTA, has an ongoing, extensive program to commission, install and maintain the public art.

A December article in The New York Times describes the project in detail.
